Cornish Art Auction

Artists from across the UK and all over the world are uniting in their support of a Cornish Art Auction to raise funds for people with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The event is due to take place on the 3rd November 2007 in Newquay, Cornwall. The target charity is Spectrum who provide highly tailored services for 100 children and adults with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Autism is a complicated disorder that knows no boundaries and its effects are felt in many families. This complex condition is incurable and presents huge difficulties in social understanding and the ability to communicate, which can result in isolation and varying degrees of inability to cope with the demands of a society that is made up increasingly of complex communications. The event is causing quite a stir in the arts world and many people are very generously offering to donate pieces for the auction. Some of the artists involved are Stella Vine, Chris Levine, Jason Evans, Lucy Mclauchlan, Jon Burgerman, Peter Dickinson, Paul McGowan and many more for more information see www.spectrumart.co.uk and also http://autismart.blogspot.com
